Despite being a nervous flyer, I often look forward to long-haul flights because they give me some much needed time to myself. Disruptions are abound on the ground – all it takes are pings from phone calls, emails and chat notifications to cut personal reflections short and bring real, immediate commitments back to the forefront. At 35,000 feet, however, my head can be in the clouds (both literally and figuratively) for hours…or rather until the turbulence hits. At that point I’m too busy squeezing the arm rest and reminding myself of my mortality to give a $h!t about anything else.
For Trabblr’s first travel playlist, I’ve compiled 10 songs that are the perfect companions to your thoughts while you’re being propelled at 500 mph. Please feel free to add your own favorites to the Comments section below. Sweet dreams!
